Summary

Description
English: X-ray radiography with contrast of a percutaneous gallbladder drain in a 65-year-old African-American female who had received the drain because of gallstones with cholecystitis. It shows the pigtail catheter (yellow arrow) in a contrast-filled gallbladder (red arrow), where the filling defects are gallstones. A cholangiogram demonstrated a tortuous cystic duct (blue arrow). The common bile duct (green arrow) is mildly dilated but patent, with tapering (white arrow), but without obstruction. Contrast is seen extending into the duodenum (orange arrows), demonstrating open passage through the bile ducts.
