Peripheral artery disease is a narrowing of the arteries other than those that supply the heart or the brain.[1] Narrowing in the heart is called coronary artery disease, and in the brain it is called cerebrovascular disease.

Planning

In the extremities, a previous examination of a vascular surgeon is preferable before medical imaging. MRI angiography is preferable for a general arterial screening.
