Acute pancreatitis
Choice of investigation
- Ultrasonography of pancreatitis is generally the first investigation of choice in suspected acute pancreatitis.[1][2][3]
- CT of pancreatitis is indicated in:
- Suspected severe pancreatitis, in order to stage the severity.[3]
- CT of pancreatitis should be a contrast CT.[3]
