Evaluation encompasses the absence of presence of the following:[1]

  • Masses
  • Hydrocephalus
  • Vascular disease: Territorial infarcts, lacunes, as well as leasions in thalamus or white matter
  • Focal atrophy, at least for the frontal and temporal lobe
