Urolithiasis is also known as kidney stone disease.
Choice of investigation
Algorithm for kidney stone disease, developed in the US.[1]
In the acute setting, ultrasonography for urolithiasis is generally the optimal first investigation rather than CT for urolithiasis.[2] However, it depends on several parameters, as seen in the imaged algorithm.[1]
